How to change the filters in your Snugs
All Snugs hearing protection have filters which are removable, allowing you to change the filter to suit your noise environment. To make it easier, use a Snugs filter removal tool and insertion tool.
Step 1:
Use the filter removal tool. Insert the small ‘T’ on the end of the tool into the middle slit in the filter. Take care to not push too far into the filter.
Step 2:
Rotate the tool 180 degrees whilst gently pulling the filter out of the Snug. You do not need to rotate the tool any further than this.
Remove the filter and carefully put the filter into your storage case (the filters are small so always take care when handling to avoid dropping them!)
Step 3:
Use the filter insertion tool. Select the filter you would like to use – you can refer to our colour chart for guidance on how to tell the filters apart – and push the tool on to the filter. The coloured section is the bottom/underside of the filter which will not show when in the Snug.
Push the filter into the Snug, rotate 180 degrees and pull the tool away. The filter should remain in the Snug, you can press with your finger to ensure it sits flush in the earplug.
