Madi Rowlands GB Park and Pipe team member

A bit about Madi

Madi has been skiing since she could walk and took up an interest in freestyle skiing by following her older brother Michael through the ski park on family holidays. Madi quickly progressed and entered her first competitions in 2010. In 2011, she entered the British Ski Championships in Switzerland and won gold in her age category across all four events. In 2013, Madi became the youngest ever athlete to win the British Championships overall women’s slopestyle event. In 2014, she repeated this victory, also adding the overall halfpipe title as well!

As a result of these successes, Madi became the youngest member of the GB freestyle team representing GB in both halfpipe and slopestyle disciplines – the only GB athlete doing both. In 2016, Madi was selected to represent GB at the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, where she became the first ever GB athlete to win a gold medal on snow by winning the halfpipe competition. A few days later she added a bronze medal in the slopestyle event.

Madi Chooses Snugs Wireless

"I love my snugs for skiing as they fit so perfectly and you don't have any risk of them falling out like normal earphones do, especially when you’re going over jumps! I also use them training in the gym as the wireless makes it so much easier."
